The Divisional Delegate of Communication for Momo Division, Rebecca Jeme, popularly called Becky has been killed.

The delegate met her untimely death as she was returning to Mbengwi this morning after accompanying the SDO of Momo, Etaba Naicaise to Njikwa and Andek for the installation of their respective Divisional Officers.

According to information from the North West Regional Delegate of Communication, Louis Marie, an explosive hit the car carrying Becky, killing her and four other uniformed officers.

The SDO of Momo had earlier instructed that all Divisional Delegates be present during the installation of the new Divisional Officers.

Momo Division is in the North West Region of the Republic of Cameroon that has been hit by what is now referred to as the ‘anglophone crisis’. Although no body has claimed responsibility for the act, it has been alleged that the separatist fighters are behind it.
