Northwest Regional Council Chair Urges Population To Promote Peace, Unity Tn The Region

The president of the pioneer North West Regional Executive Council Prof Fru Angwefo III, has called on the entire population, to build a positive mindset and promote peace, as the premodial and permanent quest for the region’s development.

He made the call January 22, 2021 at Up Station Bamenda, during his installation alongside 7 other executive bureau members in an occasion presided over by the governor of the Northwest region, Adolf Lele L’Afrique.

The 66yr old in his 30mins inaugural speech, coached the hundreds of northwesterners and well wishes who graced the occasion, to be animated by positive minds and monster energy, not of fighting the past but on building the future. He further appeals to the newly installed executives, to join hands in rebirth and construction of a new Northwest which requires patience, descipline and commitments, as commissioners working towards improving collective well being.

Prof. Fru Angwefo while promising a new Northwest where solutions shall come from the region, has also called on the entire population to as a matter of priority, be crusaders of peace and harmony, and refrain from becoming captives of the past, because a minute gone is a minute lost.

“…the right time is now, we aspire to leave no stone unturned and to leave no one behind. Me na you, you na me, we na we…” He said.

Speaking during the event, governor Adolf lele L’Afrique, charged the 8 team executive council members, to reinstall the confidence of the population, and to establish a peaceful atmosphere in the region, inorder to facilitate government reconstruction projects for the Northwest.
