Sustain Afric To Train Youths On Producing Plantain Suckers

Sustain Afric, an agricultural based organisation will from February 17 to 19 train youths on how to produce plantain suckers from corm using the PIF method.

The training which will take place in Buea, South West Region of the Republic of Cameroon hopes to empower at least 100 youths with knowledge in this domain.

According to the Executive Director of the organisation, Njieforti Princewill, the training will go a long way to to generate income for those who partake.

“The goal of this training is to help the youths and all those interested to gain skill and knowledge on how to produce plantain suckers from corms. Imagine using one corm to produce 10 to 20 plantain suckers. This will serve as a source of income for them and place them ahead of their peers. We are hoping to train a hundred participants”.

Sustain Afric is an agricultural based organization with mission to ensure there is food for the future.

The organisation Carrie’s out activities including agricultural consultancy, empowering local farmers through agricultural training, bridging the gap between farmers and consumers amongst others.
