Some christians and Civil Society Movements in the North West region have held a joint service in honor of Enondiale Tchuengia Carolaise, who was shot dead in Molyko Buea on October 14, 2021.
Christians and members of CSO’s at PC Mulang in honour of the late Carolaise
The service took place yesterday at the Presbyterian Church PC Musang Bamenda with intentions to decry the killing of innocent Carolaise who left for school but never returned.
Speaking during the event at Musang, the parish pastor for PC Musang- Rev Nformi Valentine called on all Civil Society Movements to speak out what they see in secret, because in times like these, they are the voice of the voiceless.
“We have come together as a church to also pray because we are parents and have children who go to school. So we are praying that God takes them to class safely and bring them back to us when classes are over and pray that no child will be victim as little Caro Louise” Rev Nformi Valentine said.
The service brought together over 50 christians and members of civil societies in the Northwest region, amongst which were; COMENSUD, NWADO and COHESODEC, some of whom are of the opinion that government should ensure the reign of peace and Justice in the country.
“This is a disturbing issue causing us to continually ask the Cameroon government to ensure that peace and justice reign in the country. Given that this crisis has taken over 5 years and theres no end in sight. So the Cameroon government should ensure the return of peace and Justice” Chenwi Elvis- Coordinator of COHESODEC
In a nutshell, reality cannot be reversed, reasons these christians were charged to stand the gap for the voiceless, as a way of ending the conflict.
The life of 6yr old Enondiale Tchuengia Carolaise – class one pupil of the Catholic University Institute of Buea Academy of Talents Primary School, was terminated by a bullet shot at the car she was on board, by a genderme officer on control.
The officer thereafter received severe beatings from the angry mob that later resulted to his demise. The incident put the town of Buea in a state of chaos for the rest of the day.
