One person has died and six others have been hospitalised following an accident that happened this August 27 in Edea.

The accident that took place around National road III along the Edea-Douala stretch of road involved a bus carrying athletes and a heavy duty truck.

According to genderm officials, the bus which was conveying FAP athletes to Douala for a competition, crashed unto a heavy duty truck which had been packed along the road.

The exact cause of the accident is yet to be known as investigations have been opened.
