Twenty-one soldiers of the 51st Engineering Regiment have been promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. The ceremony this October 1 in Bamenda saw the new ranks placed on their soldiers.

During the Military styled ceremony, comprised of the placing of the new ranks on the shoulders of the promoted soldiers, the Commander of the 51st Military Engineering Regiment, Colonel Tetcha Felix congratulated the laurates while urging them to judiciously execute commands from their heirachy.

“I urge them to keep doing a good job”. Colonel Tetcha, told the Media.
The laurates are celebrating today after demonstration bravery in the execution of their different tasks. Laurent, one of the laurates said the confidence of his heirachy means more commitment on the field.

Soldiers of the 51st Military Engineering Regiment are involved in safeguarding the territorial integrity of the State of Cameroon, threatened in the North West Region by seperatist activities. Their duties include amongst others, construction works.
The award ceremony was precided over by the Commander of the 51st Military Engineering Regiment, Colonel Tetcha Felix at the Command Post of the 51st Engineering Regiment.
