The fifth round of vaccination campaign against Covid-19 has started today November 18, in Cameroon. The campaign is expected to run till November 27th.

The objective is to prevent any resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic by strengthening herd immunity, through the vaccination of people aged 18 years and above with any of the three available vaccines.

Within the country, 128 recognised Covid-19 vaccination centres exist. To this effect, people from different communities are expected to check for centres around their communities to get the vaccine.

The Minister of Public Health, Dr Manaouda Malachi chaired today’s launching ceremony today at the esplanade of Palais Polyvalent des Sports.

So far, nearly two million people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Cameroon. This vaccination campaign hopes to take the number higher.
