North West: Cameroon National Youth Council Regional Executive Commissioned

North West Regional Executive of the Cameroon National Youth Council, CNYC have been commissioned with a call for them to be peace builders. The executive was commissioned by North West Governor Adolph Lele Lafrique this March 10 in Bamenda.

Speaking during the installation ceremony, the Governor asked the executives to be law abiding and peace builders. “I am asking you as usual, more than ever before, to obey the laws of the nation, to be peace keepers…We should build back our beloved region with you in front”. The Governor told the newly installed executives.

The National President for the CNYC, Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou also speaking during the event urged the team to cultivate a spirit of love, patience and hardwork towards a successful mandate. She added that they should be steadfast in all they do. “…be steadfast and remain resistant towards a sustainable emergence of Cameroon”.

She equally used the forum to call on other youths to assist the commissioned executives in realising their goals. “I am calling upon all the youth if the region, members of youth associations or youth movements and members of the executive bureau from the subdivisional/Divisional level should work with the new regional executive to fight against social scourges that young people are facing in the region”. She remarked.

At the helm of the Regional Delegation of Youth Affairs and Civic Education in the North West is Odilia Fri who reiterated on the need for the team to succumb beneath the state. “You are not above the state. The state you must respect”.

CNYC National President equally lauded the initiative of the North West for haven voted four women in their executive. She therefore referred to the team of nine as “a team i am comfortable with”.

The regional bureau of the CNYC has Mekom Samuel as President and Ndum Charlotte Ayeah as vice president.

About the President
Mekom Samuel Taleh was born on July 17, 1996, in Pinyin, Santa subdivision. He is a graduate of the Higher Technical Teachers Training College, of the University of Bamenda with a DIPET II in ICT. He is the vice YCPDM section President for Mezam 1A.

About the Vice President
Born on September 17, 1999 in Njinikom, Boyo Division. Ndum Charlotte Ayeah is a graduate of the University of Bda and currently pursuing a Masters degree in international Relations and strategic studies. She is equally the Programs officer of the Organisation Dreams to Reality Transformers where she advocates for the rights of Girls and fosters for their representation in decision making spaces.
