The North West Regional Delegate of Public Health, Dr Kingsley Che Soh has issued a release, informing the population of the death of six children under five years after consuming substandard Naturcold syrup. The children were reported death in the Fundong Health District, Boyo Division in the North West Region.

According to Dr Kingsley, Naturcold Chris is not authorised for marketing in Cameroon. To this effect, he calls on the population of the region to decease from the use of this medication.

The Regional Delegate also used the forum to warn against the buying of roadside drugs while encouraging the population to purchase medications from pharmacies.

This incidence comes barely weeks after over some deaths were equally reported in other parts of the country due to the consumption of the same medication.
